About Me

I am Mohsen Sedaghatjo, a graduate of the M.Sc. program in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) at Shiraz University and currently a Ph.D. student in the same field. Throughout my academic journey, I have sought to combine engineering knowledge, analytical thinking, and a research-oriented approach to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and address complex engineering challenges. My academic achievements include ranking first among the 1399-entry M.Sc. students in Structural Engineering and securing the first rank among the 1404-entry Ph.D. students in the same field. My primary research interests focus on the Finite Element Method (FEM), particularly the development and evaluation of efficient finite elements, higher-order polynomial shape functions, and the analysis of the static, buckling, and vibration behavior of structures. Over the past four years, I have been actively involved in academic research, contributing to seven university research projects and co-authoring scientific publications in national and international journals and conference proceedings. I am also particularly interested in the application of optimization techniques and artificial intelligence to engineering problems and continuously seek to explore new research opportunities in these areas. Alongside my research activities, I have accumulated four years of academic teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels, as well as university-level teaching experience as an Adjunct Lecturer and Visiting Lecturer. My teaching experience includes undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering and Architecture, while my technical training activities encompass engineering and productivity software, including MATLAB, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Among my professional achievements are being recognized as the Outstanding Visiting Lecturer at Torbat Heydarieh University for the 2024–2025 academic year and being selected for the Sayad Shirazi Program by the National Elites Foundation of Iran.
